Today's 3

Number one is the one that matters most. The other two come from any tile.

At midnight the screen is saved as it stands. Tap any day dot to see what the nine looked like and what got done.

Nine tiles. Three things. One life.
And one black cat who will never remind you of anything.

The story of 3 and 9

Everything is saved on this device. Back up now and then.

Nine tiles. Three things. One life.

Three and nine turn up wherever people have tried to describe a whole life. Egyptians wrote "many" with three strokes, so nine, three threes, meant all of it. Pythagoras called three the first complete number: beginning, middle, end. A Hebrew proverb says a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Chinese tradition maps a life onto nine squares. Romans said it in three words: omne trium perfectum.

NynLyf is that old idea, on your phone. The story of 3 and 9

  1. Nine tiles, three rows. You. Your people. Your ground. Tap a tile to name what lives inside it and keep its to-do list. One item or two hundred. Put a date on anything that has one.
  2. Tap the 3 for today's three. Number one is the one that matters most.
  3. At midnight the day is saved. Skip a day and nothing piles up. Nyn the cat naps on whichever tile you have been ignoring most. That is the only nudge you will ever get.
